Electrically operated pyrotechnic igniters are designed and manufactured for a wide range of applications. They can be made to produce flame, hot gas or hot particles depending on the effect required by the system to be ignited. Designs and construction vary from simple fuzeheads (matchheads) to hermetically sealed metallic devices. While many igniters are designed to operate from small electric currents,1 amp / 1 watt no-fire igniters are also manufactured for environments where added protection against RF Hazards is essential.
Applications include battlefield simulation pyrotechnics, power cartridges, gas generators and rocket motors.
